This photo was taken on Pink Sand Beach on Harbour Island at the northernmost end of Eleuthera. This is an unprotected beach on the Atlantic that can be quite rough, but when conditions are right there is no better beach for swimming. The sand is truly pink, the water stripes a variety of blues as it gets deeper. It is warm and crystal clear. On the day this shot was taken we spent three hours frolicking in the waves.
